The incidence of bronchial asthma is steadily growing in the Southern Urals. According to the correspondent of “New Region”, today in the Chelyabinsk region there are almost 50 thousand people with asthma, of which more than 34 thousand adults and about 15.5 thousand children. At the same time, more than two thousand new cases of the disease are detected in the region every year. Last year, bronchial asthma was found in 1,804 adults and 200 children.
Doctors explain the increase in the number of patients with more accurate diagnostics. With improved equipment, it has become easier to recognize the disease among children. In addition, modern medicine makes it possible to more accurately distinguish it from chronic obstructive bronchitis and other respiratory diseases.
